Open marriage is fine, but there's a big difference between swinger couples and a guy who's a complete fucking pushover. The fact that he admits it tooks 6 months of her talking him into it and lots of alcohol to convince himself it was right for him proves that it's not really right for him. He's basicly forgiving his wifes slutty behavour in the name of feminism - He knows his manhood is over, he has been totally emasculated to the point of FUBAR. I think the castration part is a bit extreme and I don't think that "masculinity" has anything to do with it, but I agree that feminism doesn't particularly need to be a part of it.
