Topic: Why do people care about the first non-white to do something?

This is an antiquated notion. Other than women who achieve physical feats, the first non-white male to achieve something is merely following in the footsteps of others. All humans have the same potential, except the physiological differences between men and women, thus it is no reason to make a distinction. Why must we keep defining humans as different? When will we start to treat individuals as being human instead of white and black and gay and whatever?

Is it simply human nature to differentiate those who have physical differences?

That wasnt a racist thing to bring up. I'm talking about people being human. Notice I included gender, as well. And, I mentioned all non-whites whne I'm only prejudiced against blacks and maybe Mexicans, I dunno.

As to why I'm as racist as I am, I was raised in a racist culture. I'm no more prejudiced than the next guy, though.
