This is the book written from the perspective of Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus concerning their kidnappings and rapes at the hands of the late Ariel Castro.

I haven't read Michelle knights book yet. I'm gonna look it up now. Does she shit talk Amanda in it? I assume she would.
Michelle got the worst treatment, and was there a year longer than the others, and yet Amanda got Twice the money she did. I would be pissed.

She shit talked her in her book, and in multiple interviews. But when you see how things play out in Amanda/Ginas book, you start to see another side of the story.
Michelle Knights book is called "Finding Me: SA Decade of darkness, a life reclaimed.
I dont want to talk too much about this, because its kind of like a spoiler, I guess?

Please don't reveal anything Michelle says, but having read just Amanda's and Gina's book, I picked up on why Michelle would dislike her, and I have seen any interviews. There is soemtbing there. I'll read the book tonight and we can discuss tomorrow.
Edit: unable to find a good pdf, so probably won't be reading this tonight. I'll buy it whne I get off work, I guess. I suppose supporting her is kind of the right thing to do anyway.

Please recommend some, I've read Jaycee duggard's book which is why I was interested in this one. I felt a lot worse for Jaycee, though. I think her book did a lot more to demonstrate her mindset, where as Gina and Amanda's book was more of just an accounting of what happened. When Jaycee made the school for her daughters, it made me think of her as such an amazingly strong person, but I didn't get that with Amanda, who did the same thing.

Next you should read the book by an Austrian woman who was kidnapped at age 10, and kept for nine years.
Her name is Natascha Kampusch, and her book and movie are called "3,096 Days".
Then read her father's book, and get scared about everything that has been covered up about this crime.
The book is called "Missing: A Father's 3096 Day Search for His Missing Daughter Natascha Kampusch".
It's Free for the kindle right now if you have Amazon Prime.
The authors name is Alan Hall, and he translated the English version.

With Dugard it almost seemed like her abuse and isolation at such a young age kind of stunted her mentally and emotionally. So her being able to thrive, and teach her daughters is remarkable.

True. I will say that Castro was a much bigger piece of shit than Garrido. They're both pieces of shit, but relatively speaking, Castro made Garrido almost seem nice.
I pride myself on being able to empathize with anyone. I pitied Garrido and his wife at times, but there was nothing about Castro that wasnt vile. He was a child mentally in his actions. He would throw temper tantrums, like when he got Gina's hair off because he made a mistake while he was clipping her. He couldn't take any responsibility for his own actions, and I don't believe for one second he felt the slightest bit of remorse for his crimes.
I believe he loved his daughter, but that doesn't count for much. It's still a selfish thing given reproduction is a basic human desire.

I do believe that Castro was a bigger piece of shit. He was using torture during times of peace! Him using stress positions and denying humans sunlight and food definitely makes him worse. Also the fact that he had no real mental disorders, unlike Garrido who heard voices and had visions.
You know whats weird about Phil Garrido? Is almost like he used Jaycee Dugard to "cure" himself of commiting any further sex offenses.

That was his logic, but he was committing tons of sexual crimes against her. So, I would guess he ended up committing more. At the end he went back to only fucking his wife. She was a weirdo. She was willing to help him. She loved him. I don't understand why. She had a job. She supported him. He only made her life worse. I suppose it wS simply so she could have kids. Philip wanted the sex, she wanted children. Such a fucked up couple. I never understood how people like they find each other, though I suppose its trial and error cause no one else would be able to stomach them.

I dont get it either! At one point Garrido went back to prison for a year because they found a meth pipe in house house. That stupid bitch could have let Jaycee go!
Do you think that Jaycee was captured to be impregnated, or it was just a result of the rapes?

I feel very strongly that was planned from the start. The impetus was likely a sex slave for Philip and a surrogate mother of sorts for Nancy.
She didn't do it out of fear, she helped kidnap her. she just felt bad about the sex stuff, or had no interest who knows.
