For a second I misread the order and thought it was Green who posted this comment, and I lol'd.

@OP
Congrats! I had to throw away my most recent batch because ants got into it and drowned.

How's it taste?

Ants? Sounds like an odd way to lose some alcohol.

Very strong and dry. Even after doubling the sugar in the recipe, the champagne yeast just destroyed it and turned almost all of it into alcohol, and then I added a cup of Everclear to fortify it, which brought the alcohol content up another 5 ~ 6%. It tastes like it's at least 21% ABV. Two people who tried it say it tastes more like grapefruit wine than strawberry wine, because when the yeast eat up all the sugar all that is left is the acidic and bitter essence of strawberry, much in the same way a dry wine no longer tastes like grapes. It's still good, and cheap, and will get you drunk hella quick.

I have 8 bottles like that, BTW.
