The psychologists there are all quite busy, often seeing patients and such. They can't be attending to me all the time.
So yeah, often I'll be going through some relevant reading they gave me. I like it, though. It's very educational, interesting stuff. Plus I'll usually have a task or two to be getting on with too.

They give me books that they have in their offices, as well as research papers and relevant PDFs. So far I've read up on chronic pain, the psychology of weight loss and some general stuff from one psychologist's BPS journal.
Tasks vary. Once I was sent to get some stuff laminated, another time I delivered a letter, sometimes I'll reformat a questionnaire or type up patient data. They've also got some future projects I can help with, like tweaking their website or designing a patient questionnaire.
