I had my eye on the Rebel T5 for sometime actually.
That might be the one I get.
I just want to get it during a major sale so I might save a hundred or two that could be put toward a tripod and a lens.
I might look into getting a macro lens since it handles wide angle and telephoto.

Betting the best sale price for new is not going to equal the used prices. Once when out of town I need a digital camera to take shots of a property I was interested in. Wanted more then a cell phone camera cause bank loan would be more better with better photos for presentation. My one and only time to a pawn shop. They let me use their computer to look up reviews and new cost and then I made an offer - bought the camera - It did its deed. Was cheep enough and later as I left it in my glove box and car was broken in2. Insurance covered price based on new- Got all my money back - had no need for that camera. Also even though the camera was sold as used - it was in new box with all attachments.
Only once has Amazon let me down on shipment and they made it totally right QUICKLY with apology and some discount on future purchase. Amazon sells so cheep they have yet to really make any money as a company. They plan2 one day.

amazon will tank one day like cable TV. back before ala carte media you kinda needed cable to be the middle man to deliver content. Now you don't really need then to deliver shit but access and they're losing control of the content. eventually they'll be dead. same with amazon. They're a middleman that conveniently sits between customer and seller because they were able to capitalize on the fact that it didn't used to be so easy to be an independent seller. They handled fulfillment when fulfillment was challenging. Now it's getting easier and easier every day and even shipping companies will pick-up from your house as if you're a manufacturer, something they didn't used to offer as a service.
it's getting easier and easier for people to do their own fulfillment and i think eventually services like amazon won't be the first place people open up their online store.
Amazon is a super niche business, even though they sell everything you can imagine, it's not amazon selling it, it's mostly hundreds of thousands of little entrepreneurs. And since amazon makes all of the profit they do earn off of efficiency they are really streamlining themselves right into a pigeon hole. probably in a few more years if amazon needed a more versatile business model they'll be so locked-in to their mega-warehouse-model that change won't really be possible.
idk, i guess it really depends on how much demand there is for warehousing and shipping as a 3rd party going forward. i'm sure at one point people thought catalogs and 6-8 weeks for delivery was going to be the standard forever.

I'm pretty sure Green is right here, except for insisting there is a God. Jesus did insist that there was a "right" way to pray. In the Lord's prayer from the sermon on the mount...
"Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

Amen.
This prayer just asks that God guides you to where you need to be, and forces you to question whether you are in the realm of what God considers good. It is not intercessory prayer! You just do want God wants. God doesn't do what you want. Intercessory prayer is a big problem for anyone contemplating free-will. You are trusting God to guide you through life while feeling like you have control? Are you asking for miracles? Where did that free will go? Seriously, you need to take a fucking course in logic.
