Yes. It makes the organs large and weak.

i think taking medications disqualifies you from being able to give blood. or you can give it, maybe they can't use it. idk. might disqualify organs as well? idk.
i can't give blood because the last time i did they asked me if i did drugs and i said i'd smoked weed and they said i had to come back after like 3 months or something.
apparently when that happens it costs them money, or at least wastes their time, so if you're like on meds or do drugs and i think drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes you shouldn't bother donating blood. i might be wrong about that, so if you're into the idea of donating go do it and just answer their questions. not trying to discourage it, just saying that's what i thought. personally i don't donate blood because of the risks associated with cloning.
but yeah, i'm sure there's tons of things that disqualify people from donating. i could be some heroin addicted alcoholic and still be an organ donor. doesn't mean they'll cut that slop out of me and use it for anything but a cautionary tale. probably the number of healthy people with healthy organs that are good candidates for transplant are few and far between. accident victims most likely.
so i'm not really sweating my organ donor status since i've already worn mine in to the point even salvation army won't take them. they'd be like, "nope those lungs smell like dope and cigarettes, take them outside to the dumpster."

To give organs? Pretty fucked. You can still donate your body to science.

That's pretty funny but i understand the cautionary attitude. I would really want a number though, like 10-50? in every hundred people are unable to have their organs donated?

But then what's my incentive to improve my health in my remaining 40-60 years? Why not eat and drink myself to death?

Being a smoker. Your lungs and heart are pretty much useless, and if you smoke enough your kidneys are useless too. If you're a very heavy drinker your liver and kidneys are useless.

No, I mean for myself. If my organs are trashed why not just do them in?
Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 11 years ago, 37 seconds later, 29 minutes after the original post[^][v]#575,328
hmm, well, according to this it actually lists my excuse (that my organs might not be ideal or healthy enough for transplant) as one of the many that prevent people from being an organ donor. and apparently with modern tech the health of the organ isn't nearly as important as it was before. alright, i guess next time i do my license i'll make sure to see if i already opted in and if not i'll go ahead. but yeah, to answer your question i googled around and didn't find a quick and easy answer, so, who knows?

i don't know i am just purely trying to imagine how badly it might turn to hijack a plane and harvest everyones organs. Say it had 270 people in it, there would at least be 70 people with good enough organs for the black market, right?
