I was at a bar the other night. I met this woman, and we were really hitting it off. She was smart, funny, attractive, and single. There was some mutual attraction going on. We shared a lot of the same interests. We were just getting into a discussion about music when all of a sudden this reptilian strides right up to us. He was impeccably dressed in a light brown suit that complimented his forest green scales and wearing a matching bowler hat. After turning and looking at me with a toothy grin, he turned and stared into the eyes of my date. His glowing amber eyes lit up briefly, and he said to her, "Come with me." As I tried to protest, she rose from her seat and began to walk away without so much as a goodbye or a parting glance. All of a sudden she was acting like I didn't exist, as if she had never met me. I reached out to brush to shoulder, but she just stared back at me like I was a stranger who had bumped into her in a train station.
