God is a bit of a sadistic bastard, I suppose. He enjoys that some people will choose not to believe in him, so he gets the satisfaction of sending them off to hell when they die.

Because hitler existed doesn't that prove that we need more belief in god and hell. I mean if hitler thought he would have gone to hell for what he did then he wouldn't have done it would he?

Its very much up to debate. But if he believed that killing people including jews would make him go to hell then he would not have done it.

I am not saying that the reason he did it is because he didn't believe in hell. However i am saying he would not have done it if he believed it would make him go to hell. He could have thought it was the best thing in the world to do but yet not do it because of how he would get punished.

You mean in Christianity? It varies among churches and types of Christian groups but however, it still stands doesn't it? Nobody would do something that they could not get away with, specially if it would mean hell. Think of it like prison, of course we are all good blablabla etc but some of us are not and that is what prison is for, to punish them or to warn them.
