I used to respect him, but I find my respect fading. He is arrogant yet doesn't care. He is addicted to sex as he cannot sit through a Disney animated film without finding innuendo. He yearns for the days of the ancient Romans so he may feel superior to all so he could have servants and fuck any of the women he so desires. He looks upon me as someone odd because I do not share his over-enthusiasm for sexual intercourse. Our mother has also expressed with me that he can be complicated to deal with in regards to his pickiness. Which stems from being spoiled by his ex-girlfriend. He is also an atheist who claims that he wants to co-existence yet sometimes feels as if the world should eradicate all religions. He once, as a joke, said that one shouldn't kill Jewish people for their ethnicity, but to kill them for their faith. Returning to his pursuits for sexual satisfaction he often tends to act very immature as if he were thirteen years of age. When confronted about this he only points the finger and accuse me of being more immature. I will not lie as this is true, but I am trying my best to be as mature as I can be. Sometimes being around him makes me feel as if I have succeeded in my efforts as I feel much more mature when around him.
He is very intelligent, however, and he is a great arguer. He manages to make points for the non-existence of a creator so well that it's nearly impossible to win the debate. But sometimes I feel that despite his intelligence he may end up alone. I shouldn't worry too much about it as he has expressed that this does not concern him and he wouldn't mind living by himself. In fact, he seems to cringe whenever the possibility that he and his lady friend could be considered a relationship because they tend to engage in such activities as wine, movies, and of course, sexual intercourse.
What makes matters worse is that I have no idea how to tell him about my desire to transition from male to female. It would most certainly make things easier, but I am afraid that his possible misogyny might make things worse.

I'm sorry but he lives with you and your mother, right? That means he is not succesful at life because he is living with his mother while he is like 30-something. I also doubt him being intelligent, but who knows. Assuming he does still live with you and his mother: Don't model yourself after him. He's a failure.

He has a job and he pays most of the rent and bills. My mother works whenever she can, but gets fucked over by the community college she works at. He's been trying to get her to get a job so she doesn't have to deal with the petty politics there, but my mother is kind of fickle. She has her own issues.

Ok so he works in retail and lives with his mother and brother. That's still not really a goal to aspire for when you're 30something.

In all honesty, still seems better than one of his dream jobs which was to be a janitor, which he was a couple of times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it. He did go back to school and is close to graduating, but because of his new job probably won't be heading back any time soon. He's looking for transfer units right now. He also admitted one time that one of the reasons why he might be single is due to neuroticism. He also claims to be a minimalist.

I guess, I cannot really say what his life goals are since I'm not a mindreader. He does admit sometimes that he is pathetic. He tends to prick on me sometimes mostly in a brotherly way, but this was when he uttered, "It's funny picking on someone who's more pathetic than you are."

I meant that he doesn't strive for major things like expensive cars or mansions.
I think that is what you call that.
He's more or less happy with a roof over his head, food, and video game consoles.

get a better job than him, then look down on his life ambitions to scrub toilets. get a relationship and then critique his relationships.
you sound petty cathy, like you hate him becuase it kinda sounds like he takes care of you and your mom. is that true? does your mom only kinda work or does she fully support herself and you?

@OP > He's more or less happy with a roof over his head, food, and video game consoles. > over-enthusiasm for sexual intercourse. > He works as an assistant manager at a sports memorabilia store.
In other words he is normal.

What does Disney have to do with sex addiction, again?

every disney movie has had innuendo or even hidden perverted shit. little mermaid had a dude get a boner and on the original vhs box art there was a castle the shape of a penis. they had to remake the box and then alladin also had the word sex in tge art work and even had a line that sounds like "all good teens have sex" more than the actual line.
disney has always had perverted innuendo in it. looking for it just means you're aware of their history is all. when i watch a disney flick i do the same thing: look for perverted easter eggs you know some artist threw in.
