Oh shit, I had nearly forgotten about Ed Dames. That guy is hilarious. Just about each year, he has showed up on Coast to Coast to make predictions. When SARS was a thing, he predicted killer bird flu wiping out society. When west African political unrest was a thing, he predicted African warlords taking over vast swaths of Africa. When solar flares were a thing, he predicted protons slowly wiping out humanity and our atmosphere. When Iraq was a thing, he predicted knowing where the WMDs were hidden. While Pope John-Paul II was alive he continually predicted the Pope's death; year after motherfucking year when we all knew the Pope was going to kick the bucket pretty soon he continued to "prophecy" the Pope's death. Bravo dude! (Hope that no one counts your 5 loses on this prediction and just recalls that one time you said it was going to happen!)

Seriously, if you are psychically seeing shit, why did you not know there were no WMDs? Why couldn't you just point to where Saddam was? Why didn't you see ISIS coming? Why do we even have battle planners if we can remotely view where the combatants are? In fact, why the fuck did 9/11 happen in the first place if you are so spiffy at viewing stuff remotely? Shouldn't we have just collected these people at the airport?

So... really. A lot of shit predictions. Some of them (the really obvious ones) came true. Some of the sort of obvious ones didn't, and some dude came away looking like a jackass. If you can actually see the future, then it wouldn't be ISIS destroying historical sites across Syria and Iraq. It would be us winning victories and not being surprised by the resistance faced there.

There are now. Back when he said this (maybe 8 years ago) it was prompted by political instability in Sierra Leone. He predicted a guerilla force with a strong leader rising to power and taking over nearly the whole continent like some African Napoleon within the coming year. He also took a stab at guessing the leader's name. Anyway, like most the crap he predicts, none of it ever happened.
