Just racked the strawberry wine from the primary to the carboy for secondary fermentation. I had a little more than a gallon, so I figured I'd siphon the remainder into some glasses and test it out. Obviously it's not quite done yet, so it's still cloudy and a little yeasty, but it already tastes great. I can't detect any faults, and it's dry but still sweet. In 3 weeks or so I might fortify it with Everclear and then freeze distill it to make a strawberry brandy.

I drank the original batch and it was not bad! Just like bready wine basically. I'm actually on the second generation, here it is nearing completion after racking into a new --carboy-- old water jug. I'm still doing it ultra ghetto! Soon I'll buy a packet of champagne yeast and some Welch's grape and do it real fancy.

The finest tap water, 3.5 cups of Price First™ brand premium generic sugar, a good slug of Brer Rabbit™ molasses and a teaspoon of Fleischman's™ baking yeast.

So it's done fermenting and you're letting it settle?

Pretty much. All jokes aside, it doesn't taste half bad! It's quite refreshing. @previous (Marsden "Bill" William Miller)
Winemaking is my sixth career. Thanks.
