Transnordic. My Celtic traits give me severe ethnic dysphoria and I wish this was just an anti-SJW parody I'm talking about.

I love how trans people have turned themselves into a joke with all their different meanings, pronouns and overly aggressive behavior on social media.

For better or worse capitalism is what's moving transhumanism forward for now. Still, there is no utopian dream for us, not in socialism, communism, or capitalism. A mixed economic system utilizing some aspects of both socialism and capitalism seems to offer the most promise to date.

logan cunningham's narration worked a lot better in bastion because he was given things to say that were both pleasing to listen to and added to the world of the game

with transistor the world is less interesting than bastion and neither VA is given good things to say

if you sell technological advances like we have been for roughly 200 years of USAmerican capitalism, the nature of selling things under capitalism will, of course, favor the rich

that being said i did like the design of red and the sword and the general aesthetic of the game but i found the world boring, like all of the robots were destructive, the windbags werent villains, just victims of circumstance, and all of the other characters never really got to develop in the way that they should, it lacked the zulf and the zia, if you will.

this is getting way too vague of an idea of "transhuman tech" because earlier it was a technological strapon and now its eternal life and for purposes of serving my argument now its brain uploading

anyways because trickledown doesnt apply when it comes to one-time, personal things

its not like "oh i got my mind-to-internet transfer system upgraded, you can have my old one" or discount mind uploading, its literally a one time and youre done thing

I don't know, man.

I think that a small, select group of people wouldn't long hold exclusivity on such a valuable piece of technology, not when faced with a far more numerous group that they themselves depend upon.

Besides, think of the money to be made selling transhuman stuff to all the average people. If capitalism really is utterly ruled by a small, single-mindedly greedy upper-class then they'll likely sell the tech off anyway.

the "tech" we're discussing is way too vague to really determine whether or not it would be. if it was like, computers as implants would you really want to risk getting gonnoherpasyphilAIDS from someones old implants

After every rich person bought one, how would they keep making money unless they started to sell to the poor.

it's like in the movie elysium where there was a healing bed in space they purposefully kept out of the hands of poor people. it was a magic bed that could instantly cure all diseases and apparently didn't even use a lot of power, it was like a tanning bed but faster... and they kept it out of the hands of the poor because they wanted to maintain the class system. There seems to be this idea that the rich will keep super-science for themselves, even if a magic healing bed would make half of the worlds problems disappear instantly. but it's not really born out by history that the rich grow more technological while the poor become less so. It's a rising tide, and eventually today's expensive super-science is tomorrows cheap gadget-in-your-pocket. even stuff like the old super expensive luxury car options like anti-lock brakes and power windows and air conditioners and all that crap. It used to be that shit was only affordable to the rich, but now every low-end entry level car has those things.

but yes, there will be super-tech that people can't reasonably afford, like private jets today, or in some instances there are medical procedures you can't really afford if you're poor. but eventually those 3D printed biomechanical hearts and shit will be as cheap as a hip replacement and even those are way, way less than they cost just 10 years ago.

so don't worry too much about transhumanism being kept to the wealthy. we don't live in a bad movie where bad guys are evil for the sake of being evil. and everything gets cheaper as tech advances anyway. Yes, the rich will be the first to benefit, but remember the rich don't get rich by only dealing with the rich. they get rich by dealing with the 7 billion people who aren't rich but all have like 5 bucks to spend on shit. eventually the price will be there.

don't believe me? just look at what cars cost before they were mass produced and all made individually and by hand. they cost a small fortune. now they're so cheap practically everyone gets one for just turning 16
