I would make a custom spray out of a disgusting internet picture, like tubgirl and much, much worse. I would then spray it right at the entrance to my fort, then hide. Enemy players would enter, then they just could not help looking at my spray up and down in complete disbelief, at which time I would kill them.

Valve servers have sv_pure on. That doesn't work anymore.

Sprays at all don't work, along with custom weapon models and crosshairs. It still works on unofficial servers but the Play Now! button won't get you on those anymore.

yeah but flair! and the conscientious objector decals are often kinda hard to see unless youre seeing it from a killscreen

Good points, but you can still put obscenity onto them if you want.
I dunno, just seems like an uneven response, to me. But I'm just annoyed that my cute RWBY spray will no longer work on most servers. :(

honestly the best way around it is to join community servers. the skill level is generally higher than public valve servers and often they're a lot more fun than stock valve servers
have you ever tried to hold the intel on ctf_turbine with 48 players online

honestly i think pubs are only good for stroking your ego w/ the mvp marker
