And I did not like the last book in the Karen Travis trilogy. Halsey is demonised to cartoonish levels, and a known terrorist is allowed to tag along with the UNSC protagonists whilst they put their personal feelings about him above their orders. Although Chol Von was cool.

They're also speaking English, so it's not really an accurate reflection of their language. Rather, they speak English and refer to the Covenant species by their human slang names so that more casual players can understand the plot.
