They came into existence already shaped and molded by ideas such as god and country. When you take things for granted, then its easy to be blinded in your motivations. They did not know how things are without nationalism and religion, so naturally (like any human) they preferred other ideas.

i could answer this if y'all wanted a dissertation. well, my understanding of it anyway.
to sum it up:
old people had it really easy coming up and now refuse to quit working in a hard job market. they are greedy, fucked the economy, and then call millenials lazy because they can't get jobs and can't start life because college saddles then with debt.
gone are the days of a high school diploma easily guaranteeing a job that can support a family, let alone a house a stay at home wife 3 kids and 2 cars. and they have the nerve to call millenials anything other than fucked.
not to mention the entitlements that will ruin any chance millenials have of doing anything except paying for the last generations of social security recipients and get nothing for themselves in the end.
so it's no wonder they reject so much of their parents and grandparents beliefs.

Dictators can still be compatible with communism if they're only temporary, IIRC. The idea is that a proletariat government tries to force the country further into communism, and eventually relinquishes control to "the people" once true communism has been implemented and society is just a bunch of equals. Of course, nobody has made it that far.
Regardless, it remains a bad track record for communism. When the ideaology can't even be properly set up, it's a bad sign.

imagine businesses as plants placed in a cross in a large home-friendly pot that curves down at the center. you water your plants as evenly as you can, since you want to keep all of your plants alive to have a healthily competitive ecosystem. in a flat pot (variations on late communism) the water would level out so that each plant gets an even amount of water, but in the curved pot (American capitalism) it all leans in towards the center so the plant in the center gets the most water, outgrowing every other plant and eventually starving them out, leaving you with only one, freakishly huge plant and several plant corpses.

no of course not. widespread solar power is a viable, objectively superior option to oil-fueled power, but it's basically taboo because it doesn't benefit the existing power companies and losing the justification for wars over oil would mean losing justification for war, which means losing jobs, which means we always have to be at war to be finanically strong. why do you think the US only picked up from the great depression when we went back to war?
that and americans have a preinstalled hatred for communism inherited from baby boomers and to a lesser extent, gen-xers that became politically aware early in their life.

Solar is good. Currently that solar powered aircraft is again grounded cause clouds prevent cells from charging batteries. Thing is as long as oil is dirt cheep its going to be the prime source of power.
If you really want to look at value of Commies and fuel just look at China and smog re massive use of coal to provide AC power.
Last few generations do not hate communism cause its not really a headline issue. Former hate of communism is now replaced with new current hate of Rag Heads.

Lol. Solar power is not cheaper than oil. War is not good for the economy. Countries have always gone to war over natural resources. America isnt the first, isnt the only one right now, and wont be the last. There were wars before oil, and surprisingly they werent ahout oil. Most Americans don't read Marx and when they say they hate communism they mean they hate soviet-style totalitarian systems and/or hippie disorganized OWS shit.
Everything you said is wrong and/or stupid. As usual.

It's still happening, though. And I think it's a little cynical to say that progressivism in capitalist countries is only ever advanced for purely selfish reasons, as if no politician or lawmaker could ever desire equality. At the very least, the citizens who campaign for said progress are passionate about it.
I agree capitalism ain't perfect when it comes to progress, but communism seems to do much worse, in my view. Like, over here in the west we've got pretty good freedom of information. Meanwhile, China will quite overtly and openly censor things that they deem "immoral".

i was in a riot once. and yes, it was peaceful before the police intervened. but it wasn't the police intervention that caused the riot. it was the rioters who did not comply with the police and were also illegally organized in the first place. Once laws start to get to be broken, minor ones like blocking traffic or just being too large an assembly (such as the riot i was in) it's the job of the police to intervene and disperse the crowd. If the crowd doesn't comply and resists, it always turns violent. and yes, it IS on the protesters and they are responsible for the damage they caused. if they (and if we) had complied with the police and dispersed when they initially began to disperse the crowd then no one would have wound up in the hospital that night. but, unfortunately, like most unruly and disorganized mobs it turned violent.
you've probably never been in a crowd with more than a few thousand people i guess. like, you know, a crowd doing things to piss off the police.
what's the largest crowd you've been in. a mall? sporting event maybe? concert?
