If it's coming out on the 360 and ps3 it'll be the same engine, they'll add hardly anything new which may seem alright to you as a fanboi now but it's a lost opportunity to create something amazing. It's not all about graphics you're right but newer hardware isn't just about graphics - There will be little room for improved AI, dinamic world loading times ect...

Ah. Yeah, that is a shame.
But hey, it's a Bethesda game. For the PC version there'll be mods galore to add new content and tweak just about anything in the game. Not as good as getting it in the vanilla game, I know, but it's something.

Don't know if anyone else caught this, but it's set in The Commonwealth, Fallout's version of Massachusetts. We heard that place get mentioned back in Fallout 3 by Dr. Zimmerman. Apparently The Commonwealth plays host to a a shadowy organisation known as The Institute, who I expect will feature prominently.
If those guys are advanced enough to build androids that are virtually indistinguishable from humans, then they'll likely be going against the Brotherhood, since the BoS get butthurt when anybody but them has advanced tech.

awesome, i never really played fallout, just new vegas actually. but it was pretty fun. wish i had played 1 - 3, but i always have a hard time going back to much older games. I never played Half-Life or Mass Effect either. i also regret not having played those. i guess i could, but like i said, it's hard to go back. maybe one day i'll do it, but probably not all three franchises. Bio-shock is another i never played up till the last one. i kinda went through a phase where i didn't play really any games for 5 or 6 years so i missed out on a lot of good ones like portal and left 4 dead

I'm not too sure about it, myself. Assuming that all of your character's dialogue is voiced and they're not just narrating some cutscenes, it'd need to be accurately and well emoted for me to accept it. So, ideally, I'd just want the old dialogue system, but with your character speaking the lines.

Really hope that's not the case. For me, a lot of the replayability of Bethesda games comes from how the player character was a blank slate. I could always came up with very different characters for each playthrough., which kept things fresh. Still, this would be a pretty major departure from Bethesda's usual style, so I don't expect it'll happen.
Also, voice acting on the traditional dialogue system (or something like it) would add more if you could choose from a selection of voices for each gender. Dragon Age Inquisition did this, and I liked how each voice lent a different feel to your player character.
