E.T. only got that reputation from people parroting what they heard. Nowadays people are realizing that game wasn't the worst game ever made, just a really rushed one.
There was an interesting documentary about Atari on Netflix about the landfill dig. There's more exposure now that it's not the worst game. That includes the must disliked AVGN movie.
