Topic: Californians are literally retarded

> Let's build a massive population center with artificial plants that can't naturally grow here in a desert
Arizona gets less rain than California does yet it gets alone fine because people there realize they live in a desert and act accordingly.

Like half the houses have swimming pools just to let everyone know they aren't fucking around about their vast water consumption.

If people only conserve water better then we wouldn't be in such a shortage.

Why is defying nature "retarded"? Surely, it's actually quite clever to establish a sufficiently supplied human population centre where there, traditionally, wouldn't be one?

i'd imagine the amount of water in the pool pales in comparison to the amount used for agricultural purposes

Probably, but I thought the pools added that extra special "fuck you" that shows they are serious.

They make for quite gripping photographs. It's like the end of the world, such a stark contrast between lush suburbia and barren desert. The juxtaposition highlits both and makes them more real.

Albeit I agree its dumb as fuck to build a massive community in wot is basically a desert - Must tell ya living on the coast is is is is Yes it sure is.
Just a guilty pleasure. I figure a small still to take Ocean water n distill it for drinking water is feasible on a small scale basis.

A quick lookC at web and Texans have recently developed a chip that with just 3 volts applied removes the salt from Ocean water

San Diego has a massive desalinization plant in the works and another is being proposed in Huntington Beach.

Germans will ensure some of the water will be used to cook Bratwurst

Cooking bratwurst in water is a fucking travesty and needs to be outlawed for the betterment of humankind.

Place in a large stock pot with the onions, butter, and beer. Place pot over medium heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Lightly oil grate. Cook bratwurst on preheated grill for 10 to 14 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly.

Beer is 95% water

If you think brats need any pre-prep besides a squirt of bbq sauce, you've made a severe error in judgement. If you want beer brats, put an (opened) can inside before you close the lid.
