I went out of math lab to get a drink since I was very thirsty and was greeted with a great photo opportunity. Since I do not have a camera yet I decided to take this picture with my phone since I might not get this chance again.

Nikon D3200 is not going to really add any value to that photo.

Wouldn't the overall quality be better though? Plus the D5200 is better than the D3200 from what I gathered. I might get a camera sooner as I might take a photography class during the summer.

I kind of hate how I captured the railing, but I probably wouldn't have been able to capture everything with such a tiny camera anyway.

I just snapped a picture of one of my local buses. I tried to keep the rule of thirds in mind, but this photo probably is a failure.

I think my point is more about how hundreds of bucks for quality camera only is not going to do much with such subject matter. It got me to wonder how a pawn shop values it because they end up with overload of cameras - How much to you think you can get one for on say Craigs?

mid-day photography is notoriously awful because of the color tones, tiny shadows, and harsh lighting

I'm a Canonfag but in all honesty if your school offers an introductory photography class, maybe try it? Some require you to have your own rig but it couldn't hurt to check and see.

It does, I already e-mailed the instructor.
The only thing that could prevent me from taking it is if the lecture is during a time when the buses stop running.
