I have no problem with people using ESAs. It's when they try to use the ESA label to circumvent totally reasonable rules about pets and demand they be treated like actual service animals. That's a problem to me. Also, the one person I know who claims to have an ESA is a total cunt, so there's that.

There are all these people who self-diagnose their emotional problems, get a pet, never bother to train it (pitbulls are popular), and then want to take it to whatever businesses, apartments, etc. they want and claim it's necessary due to their disability (their feelings). It's obnoxious as shit. This broad I knew would take her ugly pit EVERYWHERE and start bawwing about her rights when people would ask why she was bringing a random dog into a coffee shop. Or the ones who think they should be able to ignore apartment pet restrictions because they feel better having a cat to cuddle. I like cuddling cats too, I just choose places to live where they're allowed. It's especially annoying because there are legitimate service animals out there who are life-saving to people with disabilities, but there's now more skepticism about them because of the aforementioned cunts abusing the system.

I've never met anybody with an emotional support animal™, I've only really been exposed to the concept on TV, when a woman was thrown off a BA flight for trying to smuggle a cat on board or something.
