The human fund. Money for people.
What has you down anyway?

@OP
It's usually only like .01% of profits they donate. But could you imagine the hullabaloo if a major corporation stopped philanthropy? It would be a PR nightmare. Better to put up donation boxes in stores and give a few bucks to a local homeless shelter and issue a "giving back to the community" press release.

It's actually their money

There's this local business that loudly donates 10% of everything to charity. But only the charities they like. That is retarded. Give me my 10% back and I will decide what's best to do with it.

It's not their money because I refuse to give it to them.

It's an odd reason to refuse to do business with a place, unless they're donating to awful causes like healthcare for nazis or Scientology.

It's just the idea that they are admitting to padding their prices in order to do charity. I *like* charity. I donate money, time, and legal services. I just like to choose how and why and to whom I donate.

Oh, if price padding is what's going on then yeah, fuck 'em. Then you're just paying extra to donate to a charity of their choice.

Yes, that's my poorly articulated point. Donating to charity is fine with me. I just don't want to have to donate to, say, Susan B. Komen for the Cure every time I get my oil changed.

Why the fuck do you care if you buy something, and the business owner wants to help some starving kids with some of it?

Do you think maybe the business owners are Jews? It sure sounds like it, they are using other peoples money to give to charity.

I just like to CHOOSE the charities I donate to. I think it's fucking STUPID for a business to take more of my money and use that to donate to a charity I don't approve of. They will inevitably choose a retardedly popular charity that puts 70+% of its donations toward administrative bloat.
