Volunteer, help others. However if you feel like you're going to harm yourself soon please go to the hospital or call emergency services. The first suggestion is helpful for some people who are struggling with suicidal ideation but if you need help now please don't hesitate to get it.

i always wondered how this works. do you go there and just say "hi i want to kill myself"? most suicidal people i know wouldn't have the motivation to check themselves in a hospital, or even acknowledge the idea of doing it.

basically you stay there and they mess around with your medication and watch you 24/7 to see how it affects you, and they do group therapy and stuff too. that was my experience, at least

Meathands, seriously, if you are having suicidal ideation, you need treatment. I know those facilities are no fun, but look at it like a normal hospital stay. Medication and therapy will help you.

I read a 4chan post once about a guy who bought and hid a big pink dildo in his room in order to stop himself from commiting suicide. The way it worked is that he couldn't stand the thought of his parents finding it when they'd inevitably search his room if he did suicide.
