Screw going to Heaven, screw going to Hell, I just want to float around the cosmos for all of eternity observing humanity as it progresses through the future and what might happen when the sun engulfs the Earth. You can even answer the question as to rather or not humans were alone in the Universe when you could just fly out and explore in space as a ghost. I'd be like a space ghost. How can nobody want this? Just find a way to communicate with the living and you're golden! Note: That might take some time, but you can afford it.

Ill pass on such concept. Ghosts just observing others Life I mean is this not like just watching TV 24 hours day or even view of Net hour after hour for eternity

Nah.
Even assuming that there aren't any limitations to it and I'm literally just a flying, invisible and incorporeal guy, I think I'd eventually go mad from not being able to interact with anything. Sure the idea of watching humanity evolve sounds cool, but I get the feeling that the whole ghostly experience would get boring quick. I'd rather slip quietly into non-existence, I think.

Pretty much this.
Even if I could be some other kind of undead, like a vampire, who could interact, sleep, feed, and eventually die for good, I don't know if I'd take the offer. I've always thought 300 year-old vampires should act like super-crotchety, sexist, racist old men. I feel I would fail to age with the culture eventually, and become cynical and reclusive.

He's not a human, but a timelord who is constantly moving through time to different eras and not living in one society on a continuous timeline. I don't know much about timelord psychology, but I would guess he is less at risk than an immortal undead human.
