i actually got one as a gift once. the material is cheap and the stitching is of poor quality.
it was a "fun" gift and it was kinda funny to walk around with it on. i didn't really ever use it as advertized. of course i tried using it because i had it, and i curled up with it on the couch with a book and it worked as intended i suppose. more of a pain in the ass than just a blanket, the arms get pulled inside out so you've got to fuck around with it to get it right before you can use it and so half the time i'd just drape it like a blanket anyway.
most of its life was spent tossed in a box as a cat bed if that tells you anything.
