I think those double units with the one common kitchen have been shut down nation wide.
I did not expect to find any fine dining where Cathy lives and sure enough if one hits Yelp re Fine dining it actually comes up with some cheesy Mexican grills and lots of fast food places.
To be fair I also used Best restaurants for the search term and it comes up with the same fast food places - a few do offer candles on table and vinyl tablecloths

It was a few years ago, with my family, on my birthday. A really fancy Japanese place, it was called Yoshinoya. My mom forgot to make reservations but fortunately they were a able to find a table for us.

Not sure what you want me to answer when it comes to nice restaurants, but I've been to Chili's, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse (a few times), and Red Lobster (once). All of them are very tidy inside as should be expected from a public eatery, but if you want to go by interior then I have to say that there is something about the feng shui of Panera Breads that makes it a cozy place to order a sandwich or soup. Chili's also has a zen feel if you dine in the bar. Golden Corral has a decent feel for a buffet. Shakey's Pizza has a nice dining hall feel that makes you think you've been living in a Viking age. Even Applebee's captures that feel, but a shame their menu is shit.

I never visited a Japanese restaurant other than a few Asian take out places and Panda Express which is Chinese. I did, however, been to this interesting Asian buffet called, "Taste Buffet" which is a local establishment that went out of business. But I think they returned under a new name.

I just had speghetti and meatballs, with some roasted squash, zucchini and onions, and some cantelope, honeydew and blueberries for dessert. I eat like that just about every day. This isn't entirely accurate. 15 minutes from my current position as I type this there is still a collections of shops, restaurants, and a mall. I do sometimes take for granted that we have some interesting mom and pop shops as well as eateries, but some of these places are in bad neighborhoods.

Hey have you ever hiked Devils Punchbowl? Used to hike it with friends and then we wood visit Monks of St. Andrew’s Abbey, Valyermo. They used to have a cool Autumn Festival but lookC and they don't do that anymore.

lol i drove thru a buttload of towns like that and one of them had a mall and everybody was driving so crazy it was like driving in dang thailand or st but it was just the intersection outside the strip mall. i seen so many people close to crashing and they did not even give a hoot i saw their faces they did not care a lick
