Topic: Why nothing new at In 'N Out?

Catherine !TGirlYJKXM started this discussion 11 years ago #41,965

I smelled jalapeno and wondered why they do not have a jalapeno burger like other joints do until I realized they have nothing new.

Why no new products?

Why would they? It's fast food.

Mormons like their fast food simple.

They just started serving Dr. Pepper back in 1996. That's not enough change? Jesus stop rushing them!

No really, the people that run the company don't want to try new gimmicks every month and just want to keep the menu simple. Having like ten main ingredients total sure has to make supplying each location simple.

Chili Peppers
Hot_Yellow_Peppers

You can get them diced in your burger or separate, in little plastic baggies. They’re small, yellow, and pack a punch with flavor. They appear to be peppercinis.

For some odd reason their own secret menu fails to detail all they offer -

Indeed cause I once as a customer was clueless re options. Then on a forum someone told me wot I just shared with Catherine - IF In n Out offered stock I wood invest. Its a very private company and in two years will have only one owner. She has to turn 35 for final full ownership - Might be some other minor family owners - She marries and divorces a bunch and has twice had kidnap attempts.

She is currently single but seems to always marry an employee of the company. She married a fry cook so perhaps YOU might end up the next divorced husband?

Is In 'N Out a 15 minute bus ride drive from the dingy, squalid, dead end hovel apartment you rent your beachfront mansion?

Externally hosted imagein and out burger is terrible. it came to texas a few years ago and it needs to leave. shit takes up space a better hamburger joint could occupy. i was actually looking forward to trying it too, but only because of the Big Lebowski. Then i went and got a burger and fries, the fries are a damn joke. soggy and tasteless except for the flavor of vegetable oil and salt. The burgers are weak, with tiny little patties that are thin as paper and taste like something that comes out of a gas station microwave, dry and chewy.

i even went there a second time just to make sure i didn't just have a bad 1 off experience. turns out i won't be going there again.

if you want a good burger from a fast food joint, the only one to go to is What-a-burger.

I agree. Why the hell are so many Minichanners all obsessed with fucking fast food?

But why? Isn't food meant to be enjoyed?

Fast food makes you run faster. That is enjoyable.

True. It would be hard to argue against McWalter's superior sprinting ability.

I keep hearing from /ck/ that What-a-Burger is crap and the only real reason why they are competition for In-N-Out is because of the feud between Texans and Californians.

Also, have you tried "Animal Style" fries when you went to In-N-Out?

I looked up What-a-Burger Yelp reviews. Apparently they can make a good burger. Lots of complaints about staff not giving a fuck. Many complaints about long wait times and cold burgers n fries.

However no one complains about one location which is one block from corporate headquarters.

what? no, it's the flavor and quality of the meat. in and out has thin little patties and are more like mcdonalds little burgers, whataburger does 1/4 and 1/3lbs hamburgers that you have to use both hands to eat. i'm not a fan of their fries as much as their burgers. but no one does good fries anymore. anyway, in-and-out are glorified sliders and they taste like they're made with yankee beef.

but, i could name probably 5 local burger joints that are better than any of the chain hamburger places, including whataburger.
not only that, i make a better burger than any of them.
