Here are some fun facts about serial killers to help in you figure that out

At least 7 high profile serial killers were forcibly dressed as girls by their mother.
This includes Henry Lee Lucas, his partner in crime Ottis Toole, Eddie Cole and Charles Manson.

Regarding the serial killer triangle.

Animal abuse: In childhood 36% of serial killers abused animals. As adolescents 46% abused animals.

Arson : 56% of serial killers set fires as a child. 52% set fires as an adolescent.

Bedwetting: 68% of serial wetthe bed when tthey were children. 60% did it into adolescence.

Most serial killers have things that trigger the murders, and these include a variety of stressors.

Before their murders 59% had experienced conflict with a female.

53% had recently had conflict with a parental figure.

48% were having financial problems.

39% had issues with employment.

28% were having unrelated legal problems.

do you ever think about the fact that we'll never really know anything about the "best" serial killers?
like we only really know the profile of the kinda crazy/demented/paranoid/reckless/calculating serial killers and not the smartest/most careful/dangerous serial killers? yeah, we know the bed wetting animal killers and all that, but, what about the serial killers who aren't driven to reckless action by their compulsion. One thing jailed killers have in common is that they fucked up somehow.

but the ones who are perfect and never make mistakes we'll never even have a profile for them. probably just a bunch of random, unrelated deaths/murders that go unsolved and cold with no leads that can never really be tied together.

I'd imagine that a perfect serial killer would be a hit man. Someone driven by profit instead of lust and rage. Thats one reason why female serial killers get away with it for so long.
