it was road rage. zimmerman has a history of it, apparently. also some domestic abuse issues that were ultimately dropped. The guy who shot zimmerman drove off and stopped and yelled to a gas station attendant, "I shot George Zimmerman, call 911. i don't have a phone," and then drove off. Apparently this guy has a history with zimmerman from previous road rage altercations. In this one the man claims zimmerman pulled out a gun (which police know he carries in his glove box because he's been stopped with it before) and started waiving it at him, and so he shot zimmerman and ran away.
honestly, i believe the dude is being truthful. i think zimmerman has shown a history of reckless firearm ownership and an inability to control his anger. He's going to end up killing someone else, watch. hopefully after this he get's a felony gun charge and he can't legally own them anymore. At least that way if he get cause playing with guns anymore he goes to jail.
