Are you asking me personally, dear advi? If so, I think it's great that they're able to lend their talents to video games to that kind of art, which makes it more legitimate. It also shows that they're not above such roles. I think it's pretty egotistical when actors/actresses come off that way (e.g. 'I shouldn't have to do this kind of work, I went to Juliard!')

i agree there. i mostly meant in comparison to the cartoon roles, though; i felt that since vidya seems to be overtaking cartoons for a lot of youth, a lot more famed persons might be involved in its production.

And they are, in many ways. I know that sometimes it's unfortunate when an actor can't reprise their role in a video game or something, but usually there are really good replacements...and then sometimes there are bad ones. That being said, I find it really obnoxious when they have to make a video game for every movie that comes out. Milking the entertainment industry for what it's worth is no excuse for poor game design. It's just sad.

oh sweet mother of god, yes.
speaking of movies, valve was supposed to release "meet the medic", but like just about everything they make, it's unfashionably late. maybe robin atkin downes thought the role was stupid and might be refusing to reprise the role for the movie?

Rarely do I see voice actors transitioning over to movies. Usually it's the other way around. I remember a lot of petitions to get David Hayter to actually act as Solid Snake, but I think trying to capture their nuances and failing is worse than just capturing the voice.

i didn't mean that kind of movie though. the "meet the team" series is a set of animated movies made to advertise Team Fortress 2. http://teamfortress.com/movies.htm
