Topic: How to make money protesting in the UK

A protestor revealed that many people protest not only because they are against the policies of the government, but also because they can receive a windfall for doing so. Here's what a protestor who wished to be not identified said- "There's a running joke between protestors called the "Activist's Lottery". If you are arrested while protesting, there's something like a 9/10 chance the police won't be able to drum up enough (if any) evidence to properly arrest or convict you. That 9/10 then contact the solicitors frequently used by activists, who file for wrongful imprisonment/arrest. More often than not, the Met settles for £3000 a head. If you speak to pretty much anyone there, they will agree the police handled the situation terribly."

This revelation puts new doubts on the sanctity of protestors who choose to vandalise a WW2 memorial on vet's day
