Recent studies show that people who drink alcohol (especially wine) live the longest, then heavy drinkers, and then the people who die the earliest are non-drinkers overall! But what exactly does "moderate drinking" mean? I think the French would have a different definition than the Russians, and Midwestern US conservatives would have another definition still.

I can confirm that Australia is the least favourite english speaking country out of all of the english speaking countries. They are the Commonwealths ugly racist ducklings.

If you look up the studies, it's people who drink no more than 2 or 3 drinks per day. That's where the life expectancy peak is in their studies and that is what they define as moderate drinking.

I see. What of the studies that say that heavy drinkers live longer than teetotalers?

Error, page not found. But I guarantee what ever it was was either Time misinterpreting the data with a sensationalist article or you were misreading the article. If you drink more than 3 drinks a day, every day, and/or binge drink, then your life expectancy quickly drops off to far less than someone who doesn't drink.
Wishful thinking on your part, Matt. You're looking for a way to justify your heavy drinking.

@previous (A) > Researchers found that drinkers had a lower mortality rate than non-drinkers, with moderate drinkers living the longest.
I've Googled it several times. I'm well aware of the research. This is the only article I've seen that says heavy drinkers might outlive non-drinkers, it's from "The Fix" and it's from 2013. A Google search turns up mostly articles confirming what I've said.
