You can get a refurbished Wii U from Nintendo for $200.

With the way the console market is at present, absolutely not. I don't think there's much compelling content on the Wii U anyways, but there's at least *something* there as compared to the Xbox One (which has absolutely nothing aside from the potential release of Natsuki Chronicle), and the PS4 (which has Bloodborne). Every important AAA title has a PC version and it will stay that way. That said, AAA is bullshit and the best experience can mainly be had by investing in older consoles/emulation/older games. Free yourself from the nonsensical spiral of console cycles, you know, take some time and smell the roses. Buy a PS2 and see what you can do with it. Softmod your Wiis, make it out there in the real world. Pick up a controller, I don't know. It's just like, life man. Ah crap I'm rambling for real now.
But yeah tl;dr I -might- consider it if more compelling content becomes available, Nintendo assures us of the future viability of the platform (no OG XBOX LIVE shutdown BS), and a slight price drop happens (not that I'm really in the position to buy things anyways, since >tfw no income.

You're underselling the Xbone quite a bit. Just of the top of my head, I can think of two popular exclusives it has: Halo games and Sunset Overdrve. I still prefer the PC myself, but the Xbone has a little more going for it than just the possibility of importing a Japanese game.
