Man Seeking Woman is also great. Don 't watch any trailers just download the first episode or something.

i just got all caught up on House of Cards. Great show.
but i'm ready to watch something different now.
I'm looking forward to some show i can't remember the name of, but it looks like a hugely ambitions and epic space opera on Syfy from what i've seen. If it's anywhere near as good as Battlestar Galactica reboot then it's going to be a new favorite.

I've got an interesting recommendation. I've been watching a British show lately called Inside No. 9. It's a dark comedy where every episode is a short, standalone story. It's all very cleverly written, usually having interesting twists and small details that become important later. Though there's still some good jokes in there.
I dunno if people outside of the UK can get it easily, but look it up if you're into that sort of thing. Here's a trailer to go with my rambling endorsement.
Also, damn, I need to get caught up on the superhero shows. Especially Daredevil, since it ties in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I just watched "Cold Comfort" (set in a call center) from season two. It was a pretty good mix of funny and mildly disturbing.

It doesn't really, i have only seen one superficial reference to other movies

Maybe you've just seen one reference for now, but these shows do tend to tie into the greater MCU in important ways. You get stuff like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D setting up the Inhumans, or Agent Carter giving you an idea of Black Widow's origin. Not essential stuff, but definitely rewarding if you're into the MCU.
Also, the long-term plan is to have Daredevil join up with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist to form a team called the Defenders, who'll likely tie in with the bigger picture more. So I'd imagine that there'll be a more direct link in the long-term.

It kinda varies between episodes. But the dark humour and slightly surreal tone is a constant.

I liked that one too. And the ending sure was... Grim.
