Female elephants can live up to 80 plus years and have exceptional memories, capable of recalling the locations of water holes and feeding grounds spanning decades of nomadic wandering. They band together to protect their young against predators, and will actually take premeditated revenge on lions that stalk their calves. They can also communicate over long distances via infrasound. Pretty impressive, in my humble opinion.
