dress knife. yeah, it's not a bowie knife, but let's face it, unless it's a folding knife with under a 3" blade then you can't really justify carrying it into a bar and if you need something like a bowie knife just walking down the street then probably having a pistol would be even better. i don't skin deer every day. but defending yourself with a handgun is much easier to justify in court than stabbing someone with a bowie knife, believe it or not.

it does go pretty well with my pistol. better than the rosewood one. i don't really have a nice dress pistol though, i've been wanting to get a nice dress revolver though. one of these days.

hey, do you know revolvers? got an opinion on who makes a good revolver these days?
i've got a guy i go to who knows his shit up and back, he's a gun collector and also worked as a US Marshall before retiring.
he's always telling me who is making shit and who isn't, and i can't remember if he said S&W is making shit now or if it's ruger... idk, he'll get me whatever gun i want for practically nothing but it's always nice to go in informed and let him help just narrow it down rather than let him tell me what to get from a broad field.

he really thinks i need a .308 (i think a beretta, but i might be wrong on the maker) of a very specific type and i think i'm going to get one since they are kinda rare and hold their value well. but still, a nice revolver is something that i want.

that and also i want his 300 blackout :P

well, not all firearms. like not all sunglasses are "formal wear" but you can certainly find a nice formal pair of sunglasses to wear to a wedding. same as a sidearm.

this one looks pretty good with my formal knife, i bet the grip is darker in person, but i could certainly have that stained by the gunsmith.

Of course! Distinguished gentlemæ, when wearing a tux or three-piece suit, are expected to carry a matching pistol and holster that matches their shoes and belt. Walking sticks that can be used as firearms or as concealment for bladed weapons are encouraged but optional.

Well yeah, if it's a mindblowingly awesome exemplar of a firearm, then it is obviously excused from the rule as it then becomes the centerpiece of the outfit, with the clothing simply being dressing around a fucking awesome gun. But that's the exception. If you're just carrying a Glock around for self-defense at swanky parties, you better make sure it matches your suit.
