I just fail to be surprised by anything she says anymore. The batshit crazy detector immediately breaks whenever her name appears.

i think she's very much aware of how crazy she is, and kind of banks on it. i'm not saying all of it is theatrics but i think what she says goes through a filter where republicans think "ok, i don't really agree with everything she says, but i can get behind the basic idea, and it pisses off liberals so i'm on board". it won't win her a whole lot of elections but it's good publicity

But the rapture already happened on the 21st of May, 2011.
Nobody was saved.

The rapture is actually a recurring event, but every time it comes around, God is disappointed with us so nobody gets chosen.

So what would be the population of Heaven when the apocalypse comes and nobody is chosen?

One of the most fun sections of the Bible Revelations states in no uncertain terms the limit in2 heaven is exactly 144,000
Its also one of my most fun items to point out to the Jehovah Witlesses. There are about 9 Million of them and they continue to recruit as many as possible making the odds of any of them getting in less and less and less.

The terms are far from certain. Are you a Jehovah’s Witness? Do any other sects actually read that passage literally?

14:2-3
Dem Jews get a chunk of heaven yet Orthodox Jews do not believe in heaven
And apparently per this
They are morally pure. "These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure
14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth.
Just thinking that all these virgin Jews end up with Virgin Muslim women
Revelation 7:3–8
12,000 from the tribe of Judah
12,000 from the tribe of Reuben,
12,000 from the tribe of Gad,
12,000 from the tribe of Asher,
12,000 from the tribe of Naphtali,
12,000 from the tribe of Manasseh,
12,000 from the tribe of Simeon,
12,000 from the tribe of Levi,
12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,
12,000 from the tribe of Zebulun,
12,000 from the tribe of Joseph,
12,000 from the tribe of Benjamin
Does not look like much room for Christians except of course Orthodox Jews do not believe in Heaven or Hell

sometimes USAmerica makes me very appreciative of how none of the mainstream politicians over here are lunatics.

@549,462 (Syntax) > Does not look like much room for Christians except of course Orthodox Jews do not believe in Heaven or Hell
Of course you omit the very next verse, Revelation 7:9, After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands.
Mention of the 144,000 again in chapter 14 indicates they are slated to learn a song (presumably to sing before God) that only they are fit to learn, and they are described as the "first fruits" to God and the Lamb. It never gets around to explicity stating the 144,000 are the only ones up there. Reference to the uncountable multitude from all nations and tribes seems to indicate there are others before the throne, and describing the 144,000 as "first fruits" would imply there will be more after them.

Not to this extent. None of them go around saying that rapture is nigh, or that homosexuality is a choice (just off the top of my head).
I'd imagine that there's some examples of mainstream British politicians being stupid (though I suppose that you can consider UKIP as mainstream now, so that would increase the stupidity levels), but on the whole, bizzare statements like in the OP are far less common over here than the Republican Party makes them in America.
