Currently playing Pillars of Eternity, and am bloody loving it. Great RPG. I love how your character develops reputations for certain personality traits, and NPCs will react to them.
Also getting through Jaws of Hakkon, a Dragon Age Inquisition DLC, that's pretty fun too. But then, I pretty much love all things Dragon Age.
There's also Dying Light... It's a zombie game. Normally I love those, but I'm finding this one to be sorta generic and dull. But it was a birthday gift from my dad, so I sorta have to make a token attempt to play it.

i've been messing around with Elite:Dangerous and the Oculus Rift, it's pretty cool. also a game called BlazeRush on steam which is like an RC car racing game. But on the Oculus Rift. it's pretty cool too. I liked Evolve pretty well, but it's not something i go back to all the time. I do enjoy playing the boss ass monsters still. people get wrecked.
other than that i might get GTA 5, we'll see.
DCS World is something i've been messing around with, mostly flying light ww2 fighters. I've still got Kerbal Space Program installed and i play that sometimes.

But now I'm craving them expansions that Obsidian promised. But until then, I'll be doing a new character. I'm thinking a Death Godborn Cipher.

It's in the style of the classic WRPGs. Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment are all the main inspirations. Dunno if you know about those, though.
Anyway, it's built to be accessible for people who aren't familiar with that sort of game, so it's easy to play once you know your way around. As someone who had trouble getting into the original Fallouts, I can attest to that.
But, to be honest, I don't play JRPGs so I can't give you much of an informed comparison, compared to what you usually like. All I can tell you is that it's a story-driven game with lots of meaningful choices to make, solid combat, lots and lots of chances to roleplay and is easy to get into.

Inexplicably, it has the Welsh culture. There was a mod to add a Cornish culture, but it fell behind the game updates and no longer works.
For me, setting up a powerful Cornwall in EU4 was initially very interesting. I had to quickly gobble up Ireland and Brittany, before allying France and steadily taking over England. It was all very uncertain for a while.

It took me a few tries to evict England from the British Isles. I was reliant on France sending aid on my first few attacks, and they wouldn't always manage to get troops over so England would just twat me. As for how big, it was from England to around Norway, with some territory around Poland.
And yeah, those Ottomans will fuck you up. I have no idea how Byzantine players succeed against that, but apparently it's possible.

Disagree on the Pyro. If you switch up the weapons, there's a good amount of variety in how to play the class. Though I say that as a casual player who only plays pubs, not as someone looking to chose the optimum loadout on everything. I imagine that from a pro server perspective, the Pyro's "only useful" with puff and sting.

I get this told to me a lot, but really it's a lack of variety in both primaries and secondary weapons in comparison to other classes. A DR Spy plays nothing like you'd play a Cloak and Dagger spy, and a Conch soldier plays differently than a Gunboats/Mantreads soldier. A Demoknight is definitely different than a stock demo, which is different between shields too.
But all of the Pyro loadouts feel and play kind of samey, in my experience, and that's really an issue of sidearms more than flamethrowers, like all of the sidearms are mid-range firearms and that's just kinda boring to me.

So there's this game I've gotta recommend. It's called Life is Strange.
It's a game with great characterisation and character development, as well having lots of meaningful decisions that affect things later on. Its gimmick is that the protagonist can rewind time back a short amount, so you can (usually) weigh up the immediate outcomes of individual decisions before deciding on one.
Give it a go if you're into story-driven games with complex characters and interesting mechanics. It's an episodic game (currently on 3 of 5 episodes), and the first episode on its own is really cheap.

So, are there any upcoming games that Minichan looking forward to? I've got a few interesting ones...
Firstly, there's a game called We Happy Few. Currently on Kickstarter, but it'll be funded imminently and is already quite far into development. What's interesting about this one is that it's a stealth survival game where the stealth is done through social conformity. You're trapped in a town full of people on "happy drugs" that attack anyone not on said drugs, so you have to act happy and not draw attention to yourself whilst also needing to steal food and water to drink. It also has a heavy emphasis on narrative (via character stories and ingame scenarios) which increases my interest since I usually quickly lose interest in games that have shallow/minimal stories.
There's also this game that was teased at E3 called Recore. Trailer's here. This one caught my interest for a few reasons, its core mechanic is intersting, wherein you have these robotic allies which are really just these blue cores, but you can put them into varying types of robotic bodies. It also has an interesting story to it, and is being co-developed by the guy who made Dead Rising.
and obviously there's fallout 4 too, but most people know about that one

We Happy Few I've seen a few times on Tumblr and it looks pretty interesting, but personally I'm interested in seeing how Unravel turns out, considering how much I loved the E3 presentation, and Edmund's been talking a lot about a Super Meat Boy remake and I'm pretty interested in seeing how that turns out considering how low-tech the original is.

...I may have to take up TF2 again.
Those guns look fuckin' sweet. Hope there's a flare gun up for grabs.

It seems to just be stock weapons, but apparently you can put custom jobs on any weapon I guess? I'm glad a bunch of the weapons no one likes to play or play against got changed. Like, the Panic Attack is a bit more plausible now since it has switch speed, and Heavy got buffed back to his former glory. Also, in the background of one of the images, there's an image of a flamethrower that's not introduced yet. People are saying it's a workshop weapon that focuses on afterburn, but I dunno if that's gonna outclass the Degreaser.

Since it finally launched, cp_powerhouse may actually be like, my favorite map ever. It's such a good Pyro map. And the Scorch Shot is a lot more fun now, since it got a damage buff, and the jump ability on it got a lot better. RIP Detonator.

I can confirm that the Scorch Shot is more fun! I had a quick go on it last night, and it's more fun than ever to use it in conjunction with the Phlog.

It's absolutely killer on Suijin, since you can jump with that on a flank route you couldn't otherwise take, and it's got sightlines straight at the point.
