Yes, as soon as they can read. I wouldn't make them, I'd just be like "theres a neat forum you can check out or not it's cool either way". I'd be more worried about the kid ending up retarded from Yahoo! Answers -- probably the only site I'd filter.

Yahoo answers is pretty good for some things. I enjoy working on my cars, and I've received several good answers. There is however alot of copy & paste responses on other subjects, which can be pretty annoying.
