No because natural selection is a gradual process by which heritable biological traits become more common in a population as a result of the effect of inherited traits on the differential reproductive success of organisms interacting with their environment
Perhaps you meant to suggest that Rodney Todd ought to have gotten a Darwin award for dying of carbon monoxide
Which i do not agree with because carbon monoxide is invisible odourless and tasteless so it is difficult to know that it is present

Tougher emissions standards and unleaded gas would reduce CO, so this is probably true. Also, don't try it in a Prius.
