Tough. For me, it's between Niko and Michael, I found their stories to be the most interesting and deep.
But on the whole, I think I'll say Michael. It was interesting seeing him start at the top, only for his life to fall apart and then you have to help him regain everything. And I cared more about his relationship with his family than Niko's one with Roman, since he's got kids to watch out for and a marriage to save.

Niko is probably the most interesting but I enjoyed playing with CJ, Tommy and Trevor the most, in that order.
Michael is a human tampon, Franklin is a bad knock-off of CJ, even his buddy Lamar is a knock-off of Ryder too.
