Topic: Have you tried any meat/cheese substitutes?

Stuff like quorn, vegan hotogs. I've even had vegan chorizo (not comparable to real chorizo). Some of it is not bad, but I'd rather have real meat and cheese.

I quite like Quorn. having vegan food that isn't meat/cheese substitutes is better though.

I've only tried veggie burgers and they were terrible. I ended up throwing most of it away. You're better off eating a meatless sandwich with plenty of avocado and.

Why would I try substitutes when I have the REAL DEAL. Specially cheese. What kind of evil, alien heretic would defile the sacred nature of cheese by eating a "substitute"? Simply unnacetable. I'm going to eat a piece of gouda just right now because this thread triggered me so much.

No, actually. I don't think that I ever have. But I hear they're allright.

@OP
The faux meat stuff is usually okay here, especially if you are prone to putting a lot of stuff on your sandwich/burger/hot dog. Fake meat products like sausage or pepperoni that get a lot of their flavoring from spices are generally pretty close depending on how you prepare your meal. I use stuff like this in food pretty regularly. (I've been a loose non-meat eater for about 15 years.)

How good the fake products are will probably vary with available brands and location. I don't know what is available where you are or how good it is, so I really can't make a blanket statement about all such products.

Vegan cheese: Once. Never again. I do not even want to look at it.

Cooking a Roast with potatoes is as simple as placing the Contents in an oven. Turn on Oven and wait till it looks that good.
My potatoes usually are baking with skin on so a photo wood be different. Other then that minor change its truly super easy to do.
