Nintendo is just licensing some IPs for the mobile market. They aren't even bothering to learn to develop for phones, they're paying someone else who is already great at making cash from games to squeeze the money from their characters.
They are still going to primarily sell gaming devices and software titles and continue to develop new hardware.
