why is that your concern op? think the cops go around busting all a dealers users or something? he must be running like a pretty obvious crack house to worry about his security. how frequently are you over at his place? honestly if you're in and out quick then it'll never be a problem. unless he's actually running a crack house you'll be fine.
i'm interested in what you feel is a risk

@538,771 (squeegee)
He only takes phone calls and wants to discuss strains and quantities on the phone. I would rather text him asking if we can meet up and then discuss things quietly in person.
I'm not terribly worried about buying a quarter to half ounce at a time, but I definitely do not want the state to have easy access to the details of my business with him. Voice calls put a liability on me because then I can't deny what happened.
I know that I'm fairly secure as a buyer but I absolutely do not want to be somebody in a vulnerable position that could compromise up the chain. That puts pressure on me from cops and makes me a liability to people who have little to lose.
I used to visit him once a month.

text records are easier to gain access to than voice too. he'd practically have to be tapped and if that's the case a buyer is unimportant. they already know him and buyers don't know the chain.
all they'd do is document that you came and went to maybe establish his residence as a drug house, and then you'd only appear as a number in court, not even a name.
honestly unless you spend time at his house you have nothing ro worry about. but, the more time you spend there the more likely you're there when he is busted. so just don't stay long and it sounds like you don't.
you're fine. but, i hear you. if it feels sketchy bail. plenty of people who take it less lightly.
