I'm going toking with my sorta boyfriend type deal on Thursday night, (needapuff Thursday and all), and I'm promising to not get high. Getting high is a waste of time. You forget everything, wake up smiling (well, I only have done that when I've had one too many hits), and completely lose your sense of self and act slutty. But buzzed? When you're buzzed you're euphoric, slowed down, and just disinhibited enough to act perfectly as you were meant to before you slowed down your mind with neuroticness.
I'm drunk right now, so I'm not sure if I'l actually stick to this plan, but I WILL NOT GET HIGH. I love the feeling, when your drunk, of your eyelids tingling and wanting to fall asleep you're so keyed.
