Google search works great IF the twitts history you are looking for has been re-twitted by many - If the person has few followers then its best to do the search on twitter directly with the following additions:
https://twitter.com/search-home
So say you are looking for @Syntax
Its more better to type in
from:syntax
If the person tweets a great deal and you want to get rid of a mass of tweets - add a limit date like this
from: syntax since:2014-12-31
Then you only get my tweets starting on 2015
