Yeah, the strikeout markup is a big fuck you to people wanting to use an em dash in a sentence. I should have brought that up last time r04r was going through the markup usage. I guess you could look up the unicode em dash — that might be an option.

Three dashes will work, but typing two hyphens is the standard way of producing an em dash on typewriters and word processing software.
