I think his videos have gone by the wayside, honestly. He isn't as controversial or poignant anymore, he makes a lot of dumb "comedy" videos, the opponents he chooses are just the easiest possible targets IE people in fringe groups, and people who are either obvious trolls or mentally ill.
Once in a while he'll make a video that's intellectually challenging or make a comment worth noting, but it's far more rare these days.
I don't think he is sexist, I haven't seen him do anything that would suggest that, but his attack on feminism by arguing with marginalized fringe groups is a misrepresentation of an ideology, and a bit misleading.

I think there's a decent case for calling him a sexist. He's been pretty involved in the MRA movement, compared feminism to the KKK, and taunted a female rape victim with "joke" rape threats.
I know none of those things necesarily mean he has a specific hatred of women as a gender, but it doesn't reflect very well on him.

How did MRA get to become perjorative?

I don't think it necesarily indicates that somebody is bad or sexist, which is why I put it down as maybe. Some people might join it because they legitimately believe that men are oppressed in some way. Good intentions, but misinformed.
But then, the movement also attracts lots and lots of misogynistic men who transparently hate women. So I think it's fair to view it as a bit of a red flag.
Oh, if you were talking in general, then it's thanks to all of the sexist idiots I referenced in the second paragraph.

You can say that about feminism though.

You're saying that feminism attracts women who hate men? Sure, women might just chose to label themselves as a feminist becasue they think that it aligns with their dislike of men.
However, IMO, there's generally larger amounts of more reasonable people in feminism, while the MRA movement has picked up lots of those bitter types who've sorta poisoned the whole movement. Like, feminism seesm to have a better ratio. That's probably helped somewhat by feminsim generally having more issues still to address, whilst the MRAs realistically have a bit less to worry about. Not that they're without a few legitimate issues, though.
Anyway, moving back to the AmazingAtheist specifically, I think it's fair to suspect him of being the bad sort of MRA in light of the other things I cited.
@previous (dw)
Sure it does. It attracts their rage, anyway.

It's so much easier when you don't read or look at any of these people's shit.

When he talks about feminism he's usually referring to the fringe side of it, which while I don't agree with him doing, I don't think is sexist. Involvement in the MRA movement I don't think denotes sexism at all, though I think a lot of members are sexist, and at least ill informed it would be unfair to place everyone with an ideology in a negative category. Especially when a lot of people think people claiming to be feminists are sexist.
The rape joke thing means very little. It's an off - joke.

Like I said, none of those things necesarily make him a sexist. But they can also be indicators of sexism, and all of them together seem reasonable enough cause to me to suspect he has sexist attitudes.
> The rape joke thing means very little.
It might mean that he has no sympathy for female rape victims. Regardless, it does still mean he's an arsehole.

I don't I even think that necessarily makes him an asshole, saying something shitty to someone reflects little on your character as a whole.
