I've attempted not too long ago, I pass out within what must have been 4 seconds and I didn't have the rope tight enough, so I hit my head on the side of my bed and because the rope slackened I came to. As for pain, none at all. It was sort of relaxing in a way, I was hearing music playing in my head and didn't even feel myself hit the bed. Painless.

Concoct a CONCENTRATED solution of potassium chloride (KCl), which you can can buy at Walmart and then put in some water. Make sure you stir and maybe heat it a little so more will dissolve and then inject yourself. It can also be done orally, but you would need more KCl. This will cause your heart to stop. Honestly though, wanting to die is kind of freeing. I suggest that you go do whatever it is you want to do (make a radical change you wouldn't otherwise make) and if you still want to do it, then go for it. I'm going to find a nice natural setting (North Cascades is a candidate) with an fucking awesome view and then I'll blast off. Alternatively, you could get an old car and put it in an enclosed space and just drift off, but personally I prefer the awesome view before I die.
