Despite the fact I summarised it as "he kills himself because he can't get a date", that's not the real reason he killed himself. That's just how he justified it to himself and made it "all right" that he was planning to do it. Mental illness and despair is usually what makes someone suicidal and that person will then grasp for a reason, any reason, because they know through instinct that it wrong to terminate yourself. I say this having been very close to committing suicide myself. Every justification I had was bullshit.
